The UNIT SIG held a conference call today from 4:30 pm till 5:30 pm Central European Time.

Agenda: progress the Petroleum Fractions interface specification.

Participants: Krishna Murthy PENUKONDA (Schneider Electric), Richard SZCZEPANSKI (KBCAT), Michael HLAVINKA (Bryan Research & Engineering), Jasper van BATEN (AmsterCHEM), Michel PONS (contractor to CO-LaN as Chief Technology Officer).

Outcome: version 5.27 of the document describing the Petroleum Fractions interface. Re-arrangement of the section on textual requirements by splitting between general requirements, requirements on interaction between a Unit Operation and a PME, requirements on interaction between a PME and a Property Package.

Since the merger of the Refinery Reactors Special Interest Group in the UNIT Special Interest Group, activities have progressively focused on the revision of the Petroleum Fraction interface specification which is closely linked to the UNIT interface specification.
