Thermo Special Interest Group met on July 18, 2023 from 10 am till 11:25 am (Central European Summer Time).

AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), BASF (represented by Sergej BLAGOV), Michel PONS (Consultant as Chief Technology Officer).Apologies received from KBC (represented by Richard SZCZEPANSKI), University of Cape Town (represented by Klaus MÖLLER)

Highlights

Thermo SIG reviewed the preliminary program of the CAPE-OPEN 2023 Annual Meeting, especially for what pertains to the area covered by the Thermo SIG.

Thermo SIG pursued the modification of section 5.2.4 of the Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification. Further clarifications were added to this section so that the reliability/unreliability of the Phase status information (CAPE_ATEQUILIBRIUM, CAPE_UNKNOWNPHASESTATUS, CAPE_ESTIMATES) is properly understood. The confidence in the Phase status heavily relies on the sequence of calls between a Material Object and the components in communication with the Material Object.

Next conference call is scheduled for July 26, 2023.
