How to distribute an extended IDL

Malcolm WOODMAN (MRWConsult), Michael HALLORAN (Consultant), Michel PONS

Issues with backups at RepositoryHosting on one specific project were briefly discussed.

Ways to test the CAPE-OPEN TLB/PIA installers for a new version of the CAPE-OPEN COM IDL file incorporating the Flowsheet Monitoring interface specification were outlined. Such tests remain pending a definitive version of such installers.

Strategy towards incorporating additional interface specifications or new versions of existing interface specifications into a release of the CAPE-OPEN standard was discussed. An additional meeting is scheduled on November 27, 2017 to specifically discussed this point before any joint meeting with the Methods & Tools Special Interest Group. In the meantime the current thoughts will be documented as a basis for further preparation.
