The Errata and Clarifications document on the Identification Common Interface has been developed by the M&T SIG to cover some issues found with understanding and implementing the Identification Common Interface specification. Finalized in November 2014 by the SIG, it was authorized for public release by CO-LaN Management Board in December 2014.
In particular, this document addresses the requirement for all CAPE-OPEN objects to implement the ICapeIdentification interface, places the burden of component name uniqueness for Collection members on the Collection owner, and provides guidance on the minimum length of the component name, as well as character sets and use of white space in both the ComponentName and ComponentDescription properties.
