Picture of Krishna Murthy PENUKONDA (AVEVA), 2018.At the CAPE-OPEN 2019 Annual Meeting, Krishna Murthy PENUKONDA (AVEVA) presented (access PDF here) the activity report of the UNIT Special Interest Group (SIG) over the period from October 2018 till September 2019.

Summary

During the period, UNIT SIG worked only on the revision of the Petroleum Fractions interface specification. The focus was on the table of Petroleum Properties, making sure all the basic properties are listed and hence accessible through CAPE-OPEN interfaces. Also a careful review of the dimensions attributed to each property was performed. The other aspect is the method of measurement for each property: for each Petroleum Property the typical methods of measurement were listed. Furthermore a standardized way of naming such methods was developed and added to the interface specification. Pending some minor points, the Petroleum Fractions interface specification document is ready for Request For Comments that will be launched before the end of 2019.
