Within the CAPE-OPEN 2019 Annual Meeting, Malcolm WOODMAN, as leader of the Interoperability Special Interest Group (SIG) in his capacity of Associate Member of CO-LaN, delivered a presentation (access PDF here) describing the activities of the SIG over the period from October 2018 till September 2019.

Malcolm described actions on the code signing certificate, on recommendations for use of CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries/Primary Interop Assemblies (TLB/PIA) installers with 32-bit and/or 64-bit Process Modelling Environments and Process Modelling Components, on issues dealt with in making the TLB/PIA installers, on issues with versioning of CAPE-OPEN specifications and TLB/PIAs, on improvements made to the CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT).

Malcolm raised a question on the need to disclose how the installer for COLTT is created. He also stressed out the difficulties encountered in progressing on actions due to the limited availability of Michael HALLORAN, hence the Request For Bids issued to find a suitable developer.
