On September 10, 2014 during the conference dinner of the CAPE-OPEN 2014 Annual Meeting, the CO-LaN Management Board presented the CAPE-OPEN 2013 Award to Krishna Murthy PENUKONDA in recognition for his contribution to the development of the Petroleum Fractions interface specification and its first implementation in a commercial Process Modelling Environment.

Krishna Murthy PENUKONDA is a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer with Invensys (a subsidiary from Schneider Electric) in India. His involvement in CAPE-OPEN goes over a number of years now. He has several times contributed to the CAPE-OPEN Annual Meetings, reporting very openly on CAPE-OPEN developments in PRO/II like, for example, the implementation of a CAPE-OPEN 1.1 thermodynamic socket. He has a very active role in the continuous and swift progress of CAPE-OPEN standard implementation in Invensys software. Also, within the CO-LaN organization, he has taken the lead in the UNIT Special Interest Group since November 2013.

 

The CAPE-OPEN 2013 Award is presented to Krishna Murthy by the CO-LaN Management Board especially for his role in progressing the Petroleum Fractions interface specification which is of great business interest to CO-LaN industrial members.
