Abstract

CAPE-OPEN standard is widely recognized in computer aided process engineering area. Nevertheless, it seems that only few industrials projects use it to implement their business components. IFPEN, TOTAL and PROSERNAT have chosen CAPE-OPEN standard as middleware to implement their new gas sweetening simulator. The use of CAPE-OPEN was formerly introduced due to the ability of integrating components into several process environment such as PRO/II or HYSYS. In this context, we propose to share out feedback on implementing two unit operations and a PPP package dedicated to amine gas sweetening in an industrial context.
