Presentation by Hafnium Labs

Hafnium Labs supports chemicals, energy, and pharma companies by solving one of the biggest challenges in chemical product and process design: Obtaining reliable physical properties fast.

Q-props™ is our enterprise software for combining state-of-the-art predictive technologies, such as quantum chemistry and AI, with experimental physical property data.

By intelligently and transparently using all available information, we provide the most accurate physical property predictions and quantify the uncertainty, so you know how reliable each prediction is.

Q-props makes use of CAPE-OPEN in two ways:

1) As a unit operation for checking simulator stream properties against Q-props predictions

2) As a thermodynamic engine replacing standard simulator built-in thermodynamics

Based in Copenhagen, we are a team of 10 with strong backgrounds in thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, software development and technical customer enablement.

Our goal is to help our customers drive digitalization of chemical process and product design by setting the future standard for obtaining reliable physical properties.

Check out our website and reach out to learn more about how to use Q-props at your company.

As of January 1, 2021 Hafnium Labs is an Associate Member in Group B as per the bylaws adopted on October 15, 2020.

Activities within CO-LaN

Bjørn MARIBO-MOGENSEN has been an active member of the Thermo SIG since October 2016.

Bjørn MARIBO-MOGENSEN has participated to the CAPE-OPEN 2016 Annual Meeting held at Linde in Pullach in October 2016. He has also participated in the CAPE-OPEN 2017 Annual Meeting held at BP in Sunbury (UK) on October 12-13, 2017.

Bjørn MARIBO-MOGENSEN and Jon CHRISTENSEN both attended the CAPE-OPEN 2018 Annual Meeting where Bjørn presented on how electrolyte models may be tackled by the revised Chemical Reaction interface specification and what are Hafnium’s plans on implementing this revised specification.

Bjørn MARIBO-MOGENSEN presented at the CAPE-OPEN 2020 Annual Meeting on Q-Props, a new application supporting CAPE-OPEN and using COBIA for the CAPE-OPEN implementation.
