From March 2019 Dr Kathryn Yearsley will be representing BP on the CO-LaN Management Board.

Kat obtained an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2008 and went on to complete a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2012. Her PhD thesis was on carbon nanotube suspension rheology. Since then she has worked for BP, focusing on research. Her experience in process modelling includes developing new models for unit operations as well as building flowsheets for chemical processes in Aspen Plus. In 2016 she joined BP Group Research which has allowed her to work on projects from across the company.

Kat replaces Mick Lee on the CO-LaN Management Board. CO-LaN would like to thank Mick for his contributions to the ongoing development of CAPE-OPEN, and for hosting the CAPE-OPEN 2017 Annual Meeting.
