The Methods and Tools Special Interest Group met from 5 pm till 6:30 pm Central European Time.

Agenda

Specification of installer for COBIA End-User Redistributable

Participants

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (represented by Bill BARRETT), AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), Bryan Research & Engineering (represented by Michael HLAVINKA), Michel PONS (contractor to CO-LaN)

Highlights

The meeting specified how the installer(s) of the COBIA End-User Redistributable should deliver their contents. Consideration was made of 32-bit and 64-bit versions of COBIA middleware, of per-user and per-machine installation. The destination folders for the 32-bit binaries and executables as well as the 64-bit binaries and executables were decided upon. The need for registry keys to store the location of these folders was found. This specification will result in a memo addressed to the Interoperability Special Interest Group for development of the installers using the same technology as the one used for the CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries/Primary Interop Assemblies installers.
