Within a Spotlight event organized by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering, Dr Richard BAUR, representative of Shell Global Solutions b.v. in CO-LaN, presented today on the interoperability between process simulation software achieved through CAPE-OPEN.
Richard lists the benefits obtained with CAPE-OPEN, names some of the many software applications implementing CAPE-OPEN interfaces and presents three examples of use of CAPE-OPEN: one at BASF, with the OASE Unit Operation, one at Shell with Unit Operations in refining processes and one at Linde Engineering with a link between their in-house thermodynamic server and HTRI XChanger Suite.
