ICheaP-14 is the next edition of a series of events where CAPE-OPEN has been present a number of times.
- At ICheaP-5 held on May 20-23, 2001 in Firenze, CO-LaN was present with a presentation and a poster reporting on the progress made by the Global CAPE-OPEN project and on how CO-LaN was organized.
- At ICheaP-6, held in Pisa on June 8-11, 2003, CO-LaN reported on the “Industrial implementation of the CAPE-OPEN standard”, a paper often referenced. During the same conference, IFP reported on their development of a CAPE-OPEN reactor unit, FIBER.
- CO-LaN was also present at ICheaP-7, held on May 15-18, 2005 at Giardini Naxos with a presentation on “Tools available for support of migration to CAPE-OPEN standard” which lists documents, software tools (wizards, testers) and schemes aimed at facilitating the move to the CAPE-OPEN standard.
- CO-LaN attended ICheaP-8, held on June 24-27, 2007 on Ischia Island where CO-LaN reported on “Expanding the CAPE-OPEN thermodynamic interfaces: version 1.1”.
At ICheaP-12 held on May 19-22, 2015 in Milan, Technische Universität Berlin reported on their plans on automatically generated CAPE-OPEN Unit Operations in MOSAICmodelling.
While the direct involvement of CO-LaN with the ICheaP series has diminished over time, it remains a good opportunity to present work related to CAPE-OPEN, especially in Topic V of ICheaP-14, and it presents also a very good opportunity to meet with a large number of researchers using process simulation software or developing their own models.
