CAPE-OPEN was present at ICheaP-5, The 5th Italian Conference on Chemical and Process Engineering held in Firenze, Italy from May 20 till May 23, 2001. ICheaP-5 is the 5th event in a series of biannual events started in 1993 with “the first Italian Conference on Chemical and Process Engineering” organized by AIDIC, the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering.
Well attended by participants from many countries, this series of conférences is seen by CO-LaN as an opportunity to exchange up-to-date information on industrial needs, new technology developments and research opportunities. Therefore it was considered necessary to attend and present there on CAPE-OPEN. Michel PONS was sent to present on CAPE-OPEN.
One presentation was made about Global CAPE-OPEN results to date, describing the scope and achievements of that European-funded project, including the creation of CO-LaN.
