Agenda

Revision of the Custom Data interface specification

Highlights

During the last quarter of 2018, the Thermo Special Interest Group initiated a review of the interface specification for Custom Data that had been developed. This is a new interface specification that is especially relevant to chemical reactions. More than a dozen individuals and organizations within CO-LaN responded to the request for comments. All the comments have been gathered in a review document by CTO and the Thermo Special Interest Group has started analyzing the comments made.

This analysis has led the Thermo Special Interest Group to add a method to the interface implemented on a Custom Data Source (typically a Property Package) so that a Custom Data Container may be cleared following a change in the thermodynamic configuration of a Flowsheet. That was a demand made by several reviewers. A Use Case flow of events has been modified to take into account this new method while a change in the requirements section has also been introduced to make it consistent with the new method.

A few additional comments remained to be analyzed and the Thermo Special Interest Group will look into these off-line till the next conference call scheduled for September 17, 2019.
