Thermo Special Interest Group met on May 24, 2022 from 11 am till 1 pm (Central European Time).

Agenda

Draft of Manager Common Interface Specification

Participants

BASF (represented by Sergej BLAGOV), AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), University of Cape Town (represented by Prof. Klaus MÖLLER),  Michel PONS (Consultant as Chief Technology Officer)

Highlights

Thermo SIG progressed the “Requirements” section of the Manager Common Interface Specification. Vocabulary on concepts used was made more consistent. Improvement was brought to requirement on Category IDs carried by Managers as software components. Additional requirement was introduced on mandatory persistence of instances created by Managers.

Thermo SIG discussed also the position paper “Process simulation – Fit for the Future?” of the ProcessNet working Committee Process Simulation, Process Synthesis and Knowledge Processing, published in 2021 by DECHEMA e.V. The position paper mentions CAPE-OPEN.

Next meeting is on May 31, 2022.
