The Thermo Special Interest Group met from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm (Central European Time).

Agenda:

Review pending comments on Chapter 4 of the Chemical Reactions interface specification document under revision.

Participants:

Sergej BLAGOV (BASF), Jasper van BATEN (AmsterCHEM), Mark STIJNMAN (Shell Global Solutions), Michel PONS (CO-LaN)

Summary:

The meeting started with a quick review of the latest version of the Errata & Clarifications document for the Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification in version 1.1. The current Errata & Clarifications document was publicly released back in December 2012. Since then the number of clarifications gathered has almost doubled, with the latest one inserted in October 2017. The Thermo SIG felt necessary to bring all these clarifications to the attention of developers. The SIG members present to the conference call approved the document and decided to start its review process by the entire CO-LaN membership.

Chemical Reactions interface specification: the list of editing actions was reviewed. It led to the final elimination of references to hierarchy of reactions within the text. A number of comments were also examined, minor editing made as necessary to eliminate these comments. Then the focus was brought back to Chapter 6 on multiple Compound Slates. This resulted in the consolidation of the definition of the method permitting conversion of composition from one Compound Slate to another Compound Phase for a specific Phase. Use Cases UC-CS-005 and UC-CS-006 related to this method were also reviewed for contents, especially for pre-requisites and error conditions. Use Case about conversion of overall composition was started, with still decisions pending about access to phase fractions within conversion from one Compound Slate to another.

Next conference call is scheduled for November 27, 2017.
