COM type library installer (zipped - 415 KB): unzip contents of archive and double-click on CAPE-OPEN Package Windows installer.
The 1.1 Type Library will be automatically installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\CAPE-OPEN or in the common files location defined with your regional settings.
When analyzing the way software vendors are installing their software on a client machine, CO-LaN
has noticed that they are very often providing the CAPE-OPEN type libraries,
mostly under their installation directories. Consequently your computer may be loaded with type libraries in a number of directories. These Type Libraries are supposed to be the same
but experience is showing that they are not all the same even if they are named the same. So the last one to be registered is considered the right one while it could make
problems with other applications. So a solution developed by Aspentech on behalf of CO-LaN was to make an installation kit installing the CAPE-OPEN type libraries in the
directory named C:\Program Files\Common Files\CAPE-OPEN.
