Business Interfaces

This chapter contains vertical interface specification documents. These interfaces are domain-specific interfaces for CAPE applications.
They define CAPE-OPEN components involved in a CAPE-OPEN process simulation application. These documents are abstract specifications
which create and document a conceptual model in an implementation neutral manner. Business interfaces can be roughly grouped in four
categories, as shown above: numerics, unit operations, thermodynamic and physical properties, and others.
Changes in this version:
Version 1.1 updates the previously published CAPE-OPEN interface specification for Thermodynamic and Physical Properties known as
CAPE-OPEN 1.0. Version 1.1 delivers a set of brand new interfaces. These new interfaces are now part of the official standard. An update
of the interface specification document has been released in 2009.
- Implementation Specifications

This chapter contains the implementation of the business and common interface specifications for a given distributed computing platform. In order to produce
CAPE-OPEN compliant software components, any developer has to use these official interface definitions.
Changes in this version: provides COM type library installer.
