Development of CO-tester for SMST in COM The CO-testers software automatically exercise external components in order to check their compliance with the published CAPE-OPEN
interface specifications. These testers altogether form a testing suite enabling the CO-LaN Technical Committee to give compliance
labels to the tested components based on encrypted information on the tests results. The testers, without their encrypted report
generation modules, are published in source and executable codes on the CO-LaN web site for components providers to download, prior
requesting a CO-LaN compliance label. This Bid concerns the test of CAPE-OPEN Sequential-Modular Specific Tools for compliance with CO
Specification " SMST ". The specification defines interfaces for tearing and partitioning algorithms which can be embedded in
sequential modular simulation packages. The specification is currently in version 0.9.0, the bidders can propose an extension to 0.9.3
compliance that includes common services : identification, parameters, error handling. It only exists in CORBA IDL and therefore
developing a COM tester implies to define the corresponding COM IDL and to develop an appropriate COM-CORBA bridge. The SMST tester
should share the look-and-feel and report generation mechanism of the existing CO-tester.
