Paper published in Computers & Chemical Engineering on US EPA software

The paper by Bill Barret and Jun Yang describes the process modelling environment developed at US EPA using the Microsoft .NET framework. The software is CAPE-OPEN compliant (displaying for example sockets for Thermo, Unit, Reaction Packages) and is available as open source from US EPA. US EPA is a CO-LaN Associate Member.

2006 Annual General Meeting / Interoperability events

Along with the 2006 Annual General Meeting of CO-LaN members, an Interoperability Showcase and an Interoperability Workshop are organized on March 9-10, 2006 in Cannes, France. The Showcase will demonstrate implementations and use of CAPE-OPEN technology. The Interoperability Workshop will give software developers an opportunity to test their work in terms of CAPE-OPEN interoperability.

CO-LaN held its Annual General Meeting on Feb 17, 2005, followed by an Interoperability Showcase presenting a large number of software components and environments made CAPE-OPEN compliant by commercial and academic editors. On Feb 18, 2005, an Interoperability Workshop was held: it gave a unique opportunity to developers for making interoperability tests. The whole meeting took place in Como, Italy.
