The Hydro Special Interest Group of CO-LaN was created in 2007 to carry out work on the definition of an interface that will permit hydrodynamic point models to be swapped seamlessly in between software tools.
Under the leadership of IFP Energies Nouvelles, with contributions from representatives of Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technology, of SPT Group, of TOTAL SA, of Infochem Computer Services Ltd) work has progressed to the point there is now a proposed design for such an interface. Also a prototyping is under way to test further the design (to be presented at ECCE-8 in September 2011). Under these circumstances, CO-LaN Management Board has decided to release the current document for consideration by a wider community, especially by the community of researchers and practitioners involved in multiphase flow modeling and simulation.
The interface described in the document downloadable from
here is not a part of any CAPE-OPEN documentation set under a given version.
It is a draft under version 0.1.008. It is mainly released for obtaining further improvements especially in the following areas: management of calculations, transfer of information between a client and an hydrodynamic point model.
Feedback is welcome directly to
Martin Gainville at IFPEN who is the current Hydro SIG leader or to CO-LaN CTO.
