COLTT webinar

Initially posted on July 1, 2010

The CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing tool (COLTT) is a tool that is designed to assist in the task of achieving interoperability between CO compliant software. COLTT works with CAPE-OPEN Process Modeling Components (PMCs) and a CAPE-OPEN Process Modeling Environment (PME). COLTT’s role is to capture and record information about the interaction between a PME and a PMC (or a combination of PMCs) in a form that makes it easy to detect problems or potential problems. Applying the tool does not change the interaction between a PME and PMC(s).

COLTT has been developed since 2006 by CO-LaN with the help of SHMA in Pakistan and Michael Halloran in the UK. On November 5, 2009, COLTT has been released as open source by CO-LaN while its access had been reserved to CO-LaN membership till then.

To inform would-be developers of COLTT, a webinar has been organized on July 1, 2010 with the following agenda:

  • Introduction to Open Source COLTT
  • Structure of COLTT
  • Demo of new viewer
  • How to get code from SourceForge
  • Build process
  • Procedures for making changes and how to commit them
  • How to log issues / defects
  • Round table discussion: Are the developers willing to work on COLTT in this way?
Slides were presented and two documents were simultaneously released. One document defines the intended roadmap for COLTT in the coming future and the other one details how to make use of the COLTT project on SourceForge.

Please join the community of COLTT developers for the benefits of all developers and users of CAPE-OPEN technology.
