Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia is a state university located on the south side of peninsular Malaysia. Mechanical Engineering is one of the faculties and the application for Associate Membership in CO-LaN was made by this faculty that offers a new program study with focus on process engineering especially in the area of thermal and chemical engineering. To strengthen their program, they have installed a biodiesel pilot plant where crude palm oil is used as feedstock. They plan to utilize CAPE-OPEN to support their program study and also to analyze the biodiesel processing pilot plant.

CO-LaN Management Board agreed to this application for Associate Membership on July 30, 2009. CO-LaN welcomes Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia within its membership. Lecturer Winardi SANI will represent UTHM in CO-LaN. Welcome to UTHM!
