Developers starting with CAPE-OPEN interface implementations have asked repeatedly for source code examples. It is felt that source code examples reduce the learning curve length on CAPE-OPEN. CO-LaN and especially the Thermo SIG have worked to release publicly a piece of source code that exemplifies how a proprietary property package code can be wrapped as a CAPE-OPEN compliant software component. The work was initiated back in 2003 when the design of version 1.1 for Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification was being tested. The source code then developed by Infochem has been reworked by SHMA in 2007 to make it compliant with the official 1.1 specification released in October 2006. After a final review by Infochem, the code is now made publicly available. Learn more about it within the Software Download section of this web site.
