The CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT) was released to the CO-LaN membership in March 2007 as production version 1.0. Maintained since its release by SHMA on behalf of CO-LaN, COLTT has been progressively improved with version 1.07 released in June 2008. An independent audit of the code has been conducted at the end of 2007 and results of the audit, including a major refactoring of the code, are being inserted in version 1.08.

Considering that COLTT is now a mature software product that significantly enhances performance of CAPE-OPEN compliant software development, the CO-LaN Management Board has decided on November 6, 2008 to make COLTT an open source piece of software. A project has been created on SourceForge and has been soon populated with version 1.07 source code and installer as well as 1.08 source code. COLTT 1.07 installer can be downloaded as a zipped msi file from here.
