CO-LaN has organized a Short Course which was offered as a training course
just before the AIChE'07 Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah on Nov 4,
2007. Nine participants gathered in Salt Lake City.
Titled "Development of CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation Models", it was a hands-on course where participants created a process model component useable in any process
simulator thanks to CAPE-OPEN interfaces. Instructors were Bill Barrett from US EPA and Lars von Wedel from AixCAPE e.V. Based on material developed for the course
given on March 7, 2007 in Heidelberg, Germany by both of them, the emphasis was even more on actual code development.
